The guys at Chivers really take customer service seriously. I went in with a small enquiry with my outboard starter motor 45 mins from closing time on a Friday and the front desk guys still treated me like a very important customer. One look at the starter motor and the guys knew what I was after and even went out of the way to try to help me with alternate solutions. The guys at the front desk are like walking boat libraries as evident from my past interactions with them with fixing my boat. They did not make my problem feel insignificant and truly embody “no enquiry too small”. I really enjoy coming to chivers as a beginner boater as I don’t feel any pressure or like my questions are silly. I've found Luke and the team at Chivers Marine friendly and very helpful. Especially recently going above and beyond to help solve an old Garmin GPS Map data transfer quandary on an ancient Garmin device. What could have been a short conversation (sorry that's too old we can't help) which is what I was expecting because of the age of the device. Just picked up a new 469 Outlaw side console with 70hp Yam off Chivers, purchased through the legend Jace who I first met late last year. From 1st placing the boat order to final delivery, I've had the best and smoothest experience imaginable, mainly due I believe to Jace's overall personality and practical boating knowledge. Discussing my boat wants & practical needs, Jace's input & understanding really helped me in selecting the final build options for my intended use. Regular comm's regarding the Telwater construction timeline progress in Qld was much appreciated & final delivery/ handover at the Chivers yard was informative and re-enforced my confidence in the Stacer product and what Chivers & Jace provide as a real people type business. I had a very positive experience from the sales team there. I went to purchase a hydraulic steering for my old 2008 2T yamaha (90hp) a couple of months ago. They took the time to find the best fit for my needs. I got a hydrive system that I installed on my own and I am super happy with. Importantly, I felt I am not alone in this process and if I needed technical advice I could go and ask / bring the boat over. In the past I also had received quotes for new trailers (email communication). Visited Luke, Peter and the team at Chivers today to pick up some oil. 2 minute job, spent a hour chatting. What a tremendous bunch of knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate professionals. Hard to find genuine people like this in the industry. Will be my go-to now. Thanks guys.
